VisionWeb Launches VisionWeb Enhanced, a New Online Multi-Payer Insurance Transaction Processing Service
Austin, Texas - October 16, 2003 - VisionWeb, L.P., the online service to help eyecare providers streamline and simplify their practices, announced today that it has launched VisionWeb Enhanced, a new online multi-payer insurance transaction processing service. Continuing with VisionWeb's mission of connecting all parties in an independent setting, the goal of VisionWeb Enhanced is to provide eyecare providers one location where they can process their insurance transactions with multiple eyecare payers.

VisionWeb Enhanced - With VisionWeb Enhanced, eyecare providers can enjoy all the benefits of VisionWeb Essential, plus they can process insurance transactions with Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and a variety of commercial vision payers. VisionWeb Enhanced offers the ability to import patient claims data directly from an eyecare practice management system. Eyecare providers can check eligibility, authorizations and claims status in real time, in addition to being able to submit electronic claims.
HIPAA COMPLIANCE
VisionWeb Enhanced offers a secure, independent method for processing HIPAA-compliant insurance transactions. Using VisionWeb Enhanced will help eyecare practices ensure their HIPAA compliance in time for the October 16, 2003, HIPAA regulations.
