VisionWeb Essential to Remain a Free Service to Eyecare Providers at www.visionweb.com
Austin, Texas - September 9, 2004 - VisionWeb, LP, the online service to help eyecare providers streamline and simplify their practices, announced today that VisionWeb Essential, its basic online ordering service for eyecare providers, will remain a free service at www.visionweb.com.
"Since our launch, we’ve waived the anticipated $9.95 monthly fee for eyecare providers to access VisionWeb Essential, our online product ordering service, in order to allow every eyecare practice to experience the value of streamlining this aspect of their business," said Jeffrey B. Saddington, President and Chief Executive Officer of VisionWeb. "It now appears that we have become ‘essential’ to thousands of practices, and feel that this offering needs to remain a no-cost service to our members."
VisionWeb’s other services, such as VisionWeb Enhanced, which enables eyecare providers to conduct insurance-related transactions online, in real-time, will continue to carry monthly subscription fees.
