VisionWeb Welcomes Benedicts’ Legends 4.0 to Online Network
Austin, Texas—March 11, 2005 — VisionWeb, the online service to help eyecare providers streamline and simplify their practices, today announced an agreement with the new Legends 4.0 optical laboratory. Under the agreement, Legends 4.0 will integrate with VisionWeb and offer their customers online ordering capability through VisionWeb Essential.
Legends 4.0 is the new wholesale laboratory founded by the Benedict family, which has a long and successful heritage in the wholesale lab industry.
“We are honored to be part of the Benedicts’ plans as they launch their new venture,” said Mike O’Malley, vice president of business development for VisionWeb. “Legends 4.0 is destined to be successful, and we are committed to helping them achieve that success.”
Legends 4.0 is the fourth major optical laboratory to be developed by Bill Benedict during his 50-year career, and will be distributing both frames and spectacle lenses. Once this agreement between the two companies is implemented, eyecare practices will be able to place convenient, accurate online orders to Legends 4.0 at www.visionweb.com.
“We are dedicated to providing the best quality products, and the highest levels of service,” commented Dennis Benedict, vice president of Legends 4.0. “That means providing our customers the ability to place and track their orders with us online. VisionWeb is a part of our commitment to service.”
According to the two companies, the integration will be completed in the second quarter of this year.
