Optivision, Inc. & VisionWeb Partner to Offer Streamlined Online Ordering
Austin, Texas – March 11, 2005 – VisionWeb, the online service to help eyecare providers streamline and simplify their practices, and Optivision, Inc., a leading provider of laboratory management systems and software solutions, today announced their agreement to further the integration between VisionWeb and Optivision.
Under the agreement, the two companies will integrate the Optivision© Laboratory Management System™ with VisionWeb, allowing labs running the Optivision© Laboratory Management System™ the ability to receive orders electronically from eyecare practices through the VisionWeb Essential online service.
“We are pleased to continue our work with Optivision, Inc. and ultimately increase the number of labs connected through VisionWeb,” said Mike O’Malley, vice president of business development for VisionWeb. “Eyecare providers who order from labs running the Optivision© Laboratory Management System™ will soon be able to place and track their orders online, increasing accuracy and efficiency within the practice.”
Last fall, the two companies announced the integration of Optivision with VisionWeb O.N.E. – Open Network Exchange, enabling labs running Optivision software to automatically route orders to other labs for processing.
“Our integration with VisionWeb Essential gives our laboratory customers the capability to offer their customers a higher level of service,” added Bruce Krymow, director of marketing and operations for Optivision, Inc. “We’re looking forward to providing our customers this new offering.”
The two companies plan to begin offering the service to labs running the Optivision© Laboratory Management System™ later this year.
