VISIONWEB INTEGRATES WITH GERBER COBURN’S ENVOY II™ AND KAPPA FRAME TRACERS

VisionWeb Members Can Now Utilize Two Gerber Coburn Tracers to Improve the Accuracy and Efficiency of their Online Orders

Austin, TX – August 22, 2006 - VisionWeb, the premier provider of technology services to streamline the eyecare practice, and Gerber Coburn, the world’s leading provider of computer integrated optical lens processing systems, announced today the integration of the Envoy II and Kappa Frame Tracers with VisionWeb’s online spectacle lens ordering service.

Eyecare practices that use the Envoy II or Kappa tracers will be able to order spectacle lenses online through VisionWeb with the convenience and accuracy of remote edging. The trace files produced by the Envoy II and Kappa tracers can be easily attached to a lab order and submitted electronically through VisionWeb’s online ordering service. Finished lenses, ready for mounting will be returned to the practice from the lab– reducing turnaround time, while improving customer satisfaction.

“We are pleased to offer our members who use the Gerber Coburn tracers a convenient method to place accurate, online orders to their laboratories,” said Mike O’Malley, Vice President Business Development for VisionWeb. “Gerber Coburn and VisionWeb want to enable eyecare providers with a means to provide the best product possible for their patients.”

“The integration with VisionWeb fosters our commitment to providing technology that increases the efficiency and accuracy of lens processing and finishing,” said Deborah Corriveau, Product Manager for Gerber Coburn. “Labs and eyecare providers alike will benefit from the efficiencies created by this integration.”

Gerber Coburn’s Envoy II is a versatile, cost-effective frame tracer ideal for use in laboratories or remote locations. The Envoy II tracer is fast, accurate, and easy to use and provides the same precise results as Gerber Coburn's other in-lab tracing systems.

Kappa tracers are one component of a Kappa Finishing system. Practices can choose between a Kappa Tracer Blocker, and a Kappa CT Tracer Blocker. Working together with a Kappa edger, a Kappa finishing system is designed to meet the requirements of the most challenging retail practices. Its design and technology enable the practice manager to reduce non-value added steps and deliver the highest quality lenses to the market at the lowest cost of ownership.

VisionWeb strives to support eyecare practitioners with the optical products and services that encourage their practices to grow and better serve their patients. VisionWeb’s suite of services help optical laboratories deliver the highest quality products in the least amount of time while reducing errors.
