What is This?

Frames Data Assist gives you the ability to quickly find and retrieve all the detailed frame information you need to complete an order. With this feature, you no longer have to manually enter a frame or frame measurements, thus eliminating data entry errors. Simply enter a frame by manufacturer or brand and then access the available models, colors, sizes, and temple lengths. Once you select a frame, click the Frame Measurements button to automatically populate the A Box, B Box, DBL, and ED fields, if available.

If you subscribe to Frames Data, additional features are available free of charge, such as the ability to see the wholesale price and a color image for select frames.

Selecting a Frame

Typing in the Manufacturer or Brand field immediately surfaces available results, and the text that you type is emphasized in bold in the matching results.

One Manufacturer or One Brand: If you select a manufacturer that only has one brand, the selected brand automatically displays in the field. If you select a brand that only has one manufacturer, the selected manufacturer automatically displays in the field.

No Matching Selections: If you enter a name that is not listed in the database, "No Matching Selections" displays on the list; however, you can still submit the order.

Magnifying Glass Colors: Initially, the magnifying glass icons are black for the Manufacturer and Brand fields because they are loaded with Frames Data listings. When you enter data that is available in the database, notice that the magnifying glass icon displays green. The magnifying glass icon displays gray when you enter data that is not available in the database.

Once you select a manufacturer and brand, the Model field is populated with Frames Data listings. Selecting a model then populates the Color, Eye Size, and Temple Length fields with Frames Data listings.

Note: At any time, you can enter data not listed in Frames Data in any field.

Once you select a complete frame, the Frame Measurements button is enabled. Click this button to automatically populate the A Box, B Box, DBL, and ED, if available. The associated frame values are displayed and sent to the laboratory with your order.

Note: You may not select a standard shape if the ED is populated.

Entering a Frame Not Listed in Frames Data

Frames Data works with each manufacturer individually to provide updated information. The frames available only include active Frames Data listings; however, you can still manually enter the frame information not listed in the field and submit your order for fulfillment.

Note: Some labs are configured to not receive certain frame information (e.g., Manufacturer, Eye Size). Don't worry, this will not affect your order.

Subscribing to Frames Data

Click the Subscribe to Frames Data link to register or renew your Frames Data account subscription.

Connecting Your Frames Data Account

Connecting your Frames Data account provides access to additional features, such as the ability to see the wholesale price and a color image for select frames. Connecting your Frames Data account can be done in three easy steps.

  1. Click the Frames Data Account button. The Connect Frames Data Account window opens.
  2. Enter your 9-digit account number in the Frames Data Account Number field. This number can be found on your Frames Data subscription label.
  3. Click the Submit button. Notice that a green check mark appears next to the Frames Data Account Number field. Your account number also displays in the Frames Data Account button.

Removing Your Frames Data Account

You may remove your Frames Data account at any time. Follow these steps to remove your account:

  1. Click the Frames Data Account button. The Connect Frames Data Account window opens.
  2. Click the Remove button. A confirmation message appears reminding you that your Frames Data account will also be removed from all associated supplier accounts.
  3. Click OK to confirm.
