1. What is VisionWeb?
VisionWeb, LP is a software company located in Austin, Texas. Founded in 2000, VisionWeb offers online services to eyecare providers to help streamline and simplify their practices. Each year, eyecare providers electronically place millions of eyecare product orders to hundreds of suppliers utilizing VisionWeb’s transaction no-cost services. VisionWeb’s online ordering service may be accessed through integrated practice management software, co-branded websites, and the VisionWeb website, located at www.visionweb.com. Eyecare providers may order online utilizing VisionWeb from any origin at no charge.

2. How does Compulink Advantage integrate with VisionWeb’s online ordering service?
Compulink Advantage software is integrated with VisionWeb to allow customers to place electronic spectacle lens orders directly from within the Compulink Advantage system to a VisionWeb-connected laboratory – eliminating the re-keying of patent or Rx information. Orders are transmitted to VisionWeb from Compulink Advantage using VisionWeb’s RouteONE software, a simple “plug-in” which is installed on the customer’s computer network. RouteONE transmits product information from Compulink Advantage to VisionWeb and translates the order to the laboratory.

3. What is the benefit of accessing the VisionWeb ordering service through the Compulink Advantage
system?

Accessing the VisionWeb ordering service through the Compulink Advantage system is a convenient, easy method for sending spectacle lens orders to VisionWeb-connected laboratories from within the practice management software. There is no additional software to purchase and be trained upon, nor re-keying of patient and Rx information. Once a customer has configured the RouteONE software to order to their favorite laboratory or laboratories, online ordering is a mouse-click away.

4. What type of orders can I place through VisionWeb?
Eyecare providers can place spectacle lens orders from Compulink Advantage to VisionWeb-connected laboratories.

5. Does the online ordering integration with Compulink Advantage have the same features as VisionWeb.com?
No, the online ordering integration with Compulink Advantage offers convenient spectacle lens ordering only. In addition to being able to place spectacle lens orders to hundreds of laboratories nationwide, eyecare providers can also place contact lens and frame orders through the VisionWeb website. Eyecare providers also have access to order tracking functionality, online CE/CME and industry news and information, and access to VisionWeb’s online insurance claim processing service through the VisionWeb website.

 6. Will I need to be a registered VisionWeb member to use the integration?
Yes. The first step to setting up online ordering through Compulink Advantage is to register to become a VisionWeb member. There is no charge to the eyecare provider to register and place orders. To register on the VisionWeb website, please visit www.visionweb.com and click the “Become a Member” or “Register Now” links. Complete the form and all required information, and submit your registration. An email confirmation will be sent with your username for your records. You will need your VisionWeb username when you log in to the VisionWeb website and when you log in to the VisionWeb RouteONE system.

7. How do I set up my laboratory accounts?
After you register to become a VisionWeb member, you will need to add your laboratory account information to your VisionWeb account profile. To do this, log in to the VisionWeb site and click the “Add a Supplier” link. On the Supplier page, click the “+Add a Supplier” button and complete the new supplier form (please make sure you have your supplier number handy, as you’ll need to input it into the VisionWeb system at this point). After you submit your request, your account information will be sent to your selected laboratory for account validation. Once your account has been validated and approved by the laboratory (usually within 24 hours), you will receive an email notifying you that you are approved to begin placing orders to this laboratory over VisionWeb.

8. Now that my laboratory account is active, can I start ordering?
Once you have been approved to begin placing orders to your laboratory over VisionWeb, VisionWeb will need to assist you in configuring your Compulink Advantage system to order to your chosen laboratory via VisionWeb’s RouteONE software. To begin this process, please contact VisionWeb Customer Service at 800-874-6601 and identify yourself as a Compulink Advantage customer wishing to integrate with VisionWeb to place orders online. Customer service will gather information about your practice and schedule a meeting for to install the RouteONE software, and to set up your laboratory catalog. Specific instructions for setting up the RouteONE software and your laboratory’s product catalog will be provided to you at the time of the installation meeting. Once the RouteONE software is properly installed and configured, electronic orders to flow from the Compulink Advantage system, through VisionWeb RouteONE, to your desired laboratory.

9. Who should I contact if I need assistance placing an order?
The VisionWeb RouteONE system will send a message to you if your order is erroneous or if it could not be processed. If you receive an error message after you place an order, simply refer to the message and update your order accordingly. In most cases, ordering errors will occur if the catalog in your CompuLink Advantage system laboratory’s products is not properly mapped to their equivalent product at the laboratory. Please refer to the Compulink Advantage Online Ordering Guide for detailed instructions on product mapping. The following resources are available to help you with the online ordering process:

10. How do I track my spectacle lens orders sent through VisionWeb?
All pending and completed orders sent from CompuLink Advantage may be accessed on the VisionWeb website.. Simply log in at www.visionweb.com and click on the “Order Tracking” link to access the Order Status and Archived Orders section. For help accessing order tracking through the VisionWeb site, please contact VisionWeb Customer Service at 800-874-6601.

11. Can I also use the VisionWeb website to place orders?
Yes, as a VisionWeb member, you will have access to all of the benefits of the VisionWeb site, including the ability to order contact lenses and frames, and access VisionWeb’s online insurance claim processing service, VisionWeb Enhanced.

12. How does VisionWeb earn revenue?
VisionWeb’s network of suppliers has agreed to pay a small transaction fee for each electronic order received from their customers. As such, VisionWeb is able to offer its services to eyecare providers at no charge.
